'If I could write like Mr Thomas' is a story poem written by The Sleeping Storyteller when she was a poet in residence at the Dylan Thomas Boathouse for the DT 100 celebrations. It was inspired by a local story told to her by the son of a garage owner in Laugharne, whose father maintained that Dylan Thomas had tried pay for car repairs with a poem, and in hindshight, the family had always wished the payment had been accepted!
